Finally! An update from Pawtucket!

Wow! The last week seems like such a blur. Let's play catch up:

Last Tuesday was my last day at Loft :( It was definitely hard to say goodbye to the girls! After work, I got to spend a few hours hanging out with Sarah and Landon, having lunch and doing a little shopping. It was a really emotional goodbye and I totally miss them already!

Because of having to be at work on Tues at 6am, Steven and I decided that it would be best to get to bed early and wait till wed morning to take off. So glad I did cause I was pooped!

The drive was easier than expected which was great because i made it in one day :) Take away traffic in Manhattan through Connecticut, and it would have been a great drive haha.

We got to the hotel in providence RI around 8:30pm where Emma and I just relaxed till it was time to pick up Steven from the field. Man was it good to see him!

Since we've been here we've done a little exploring in providence, moved hotels, had a day in Boston with great friends, and last night we got to have a date night! Time is flying fast and I'm already running out of time :(

The peanut, tomorrow, will be exactly 7 months, with only a few more left to grow! Last week I experienced the first set of hiccups :) so far I've only felt them twice.

I'm still feeling pretty good (minus the tiredness and sore ribs), but definitely drawing attention. Some of which is nice. I've had people offer me food, water, chairs, and golf cart rides! Ha! Random people tell me congratulations and wish me luck with the baby... Sometimes awkward, but still nice. I'd say the hardest things at this point (besides bending over) is finding a comfortable way to sit and sleep. I take a lot of walking breaks during the game which helps :)

The drive, and a view from our downtown Providence hotel
We ran into a Moo Bella and after seeing it on the Food Network, we had to try it

Perfect serving size! Ha!
We found a great cafe down the street from our hotel, with a great name too ;)

Downtown Boston, Steven, and the park

Hanging out with Shan & Jeff at Fenway

Across the street from the hotel was one of the largest malls, with an imax and you guessed it, a 4 story Nordstrom!  The mall itself was 6 scattered stories!
The Capital ... old and historic and beautiful!

More changes!!

Hi everyone! Ok, so Steven finally made it back to Akron on Monday, and was supposed to be here for a 3 game series against Akron. Well, on Tuesday after the game as we were saying our goodbyes to people, Stevens trainer called him back to the clubhouse. 10 min later I get a text saying "I'm going to Triple A! I leave tomorrow at 7am!"

So, now Steven is in Pawtucket playing for the Pawtucket Red Sox. I on the other hand, am packing all out stuff up in Akron and leaving Tues to drive to Pawtucket. I will then stay for the remainder of the home stand then fly to Santa Cruz. Poor Emma kitty will get a lot of traveling in the next week, including her first flight!

Tho we are sad to leave our akron ball park family, we are so excited for this blessing! And I could not be more proud of my amazing husband!! He deserves this & much more for all his hard work!! Please continue to keep us in your prayers. We would really appreciate it :)

Ummm, what just happened??

Ok, most of you know already, Steven has been traded to the Boston Red Sox!!!!

I first got the news while I was working the end of my very long 8hr day at the Loft, and was completely thrown for a loop!  I think we are both still trying to figure out what just happened lol... With only a month left in the season, we are faced with packing & shipping our apartment, getting the car ready for a drive to Maine, & then across country! And of course all the changing of address, 2 weeks notice at my job, and a flight to San Jose for me and Emma Kitty!

As of now, this is what I know:

Steven is currently on the roster for the Portland Sea Dogs (Portland Maine), and may pitch as early as Friday.  On Tuesday (Aug 7th), the Sea Dogs will be coming to Akron (where I still am) and will play in a 3 game series, then head to Erie, PA.  Sunday (Aug 12th), after the game, I will get steven in Erie & we will come back to Akron and manage to pack up the car and the remainder of our belongings.  Steven will then leave Monday morning for the long drive to Maine where he will finish off the season.  Emma & I will remain in Akron until the 17th where we will then make our flight to San Jose.  As you can see, the next few weeks will be one crazy adventure!

Thank you all for your text, messages and prayers!!!  We greatly appreciate it and feel like this is a great opportunity for Steven.  There are so many things that can happen from here, so we anxiously wait on the Lord and trust in His plan. :)
