Because prayer is powerful!

Hello blogging world!  Most of you my friends have seen my Facebook and know a little about this already...

Right now I am asking for prayer for my best friend Alisha. She is 28 years young and was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. She starts chemo in just 3 days!  If you could be so kind to pray for her and her young family (Van is only 18 months) I would greatly appreciate it. I truly believe that prayer is one of our (if not thee) greatest tools! "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the midst of them" Matt 18:20 ASV
If you would like to follow her journey you can go onto her Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/alishasjourney

Thank you so much for always supporting us and for taking the time to pray for our dear friend.

Hugs and kisses

Crawling now, walking soon!

I know I must sound like I broken record, but seriously!! Where has time gone?? And what happened to my baby!?!?

Ella started crawling on her 8 month birthday and now, just before her 9th month, she's standing on her own with no assistance!!! Did I have a camera ready? Of course not! Ha!

Besides trying to keep up with my crazy, wild lil peanut, I'm trying to keep up with all these road trips. Sometimes it feels as if they will never come to an end; I also think the second 1/2 of baseball always wears on you more than the first.

During the all star break we got to spend much needed time with family! It was a huge blessing and oh so hard to leave them. Steven and I also got our first night away and Ella was a champ! She was such a big girl and barley complained... Only now, I can't leave her sight for a second without her thinking I'm leaving her again! Poor kid :/

I'm excited that this Friday Ella and I will be taking a toad trip to NY to see auntie Erin's wedding!!! Congrats to my beautiful friend!!! Met this girl in Hawaii during college and couldn't feel more lucky to still be friends! She has worked through so many challenges and I couldn't be more happy for her and this awesome new journey. Love you girl! Xo

Roof Top Adventures... when she is an early riser ;)
Look who already wants to play tug with Ella?  These two just love each other!
What happens when daddy gets Ella dressed... does it look like its on backwards haha ;)
GG Ella... If my mom were in here it would be the 4 generations!
GGpa and Ella; we love you!
This will definitely be black mail when they are older haha
Sweet love... I just love these two rascals!!

Pool time!!  Trying to keep cool with this crazy hot weather and sticky humidity... yuck!
look who is demanding to drive already!!
Loves her some blueberries!!
Has to be one of her favorite toys right now... a shoe box!
Thank you ikea for great toys at a great price!
And mom keeping her busy while cooking ;)

Growing growing and more growing!

Ms Ella had a well check yesterday and in the last month she has gained 1lb 8oz, grew 1.5 inches and sprouted 3 teeth!  My goodness child! This might explain all the late night feedings and extra crankiness... Poor baby!  Next on the list: crawling!
It's just around the corner. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if she wakes up doing it in the morning! Poor daddy always misses the big milestones. I think she works so hard while he's on the road so she can say, "look what I can do daddy!" When he gets back 😉 thank goodness for cell phones, cameras and FaceTime!

Livin, lovin, doin the baseball life

Not too much has changed in the past few weeks. Just settling down in our new apartment and enjoying what the "city life" has to offer. Ella and I have found some favorite bakery's, coffee shops and parks. I'd say the best part about living in providence is all the walking I get in!  It feels great to be able to walk to eat, shop, grocery shop, bank, and even to go to the dr's office!

The weather, however, has been a little dark and rainy. Poor guys have had so many canceled games, they are going to be playing double headers for a month! Just to catch up!  Poor Steven gets a little ancy on those days. I think one every now and then is nice (for a day off) but too many equals too many delays in his starts and too much time off from throwing. God always seems to work it through tho and Steven comes out just fine ☺. Ella and I are hoping for some sun soon so we can have some play dates!  It's been great to have so many wives with kids!

Ella has been growing so much!  I really wish there was a pause button, or at least a slow down button!  She has 3 teeth coming in right now so poor baby has been having som hard days. We just got her new amber necklace so I'm hoping that helps!

She is now eating solid foods and starting to crawl! She really gets scooting around, and the wood floor works to her advantage ☺

Visit from nana, 2 teeth and a few days off

Most of you know, Steven got send back to Pawtucket after his outing last week. Poor guy did great under the crazy circumstances. I couldn't be more proud of him!!
My mom flew in a week ago and just left yesterday. It was so nice to have her around for my "extra hands!" We were sad to send her home 😞 Hopefully next visit Poppa can come too!!

2 days ago Ella had her 1/2 birthday! I cannot believe the lil peanut is 6 months old already!! So far she has tried, apple, carrots, coconut milk yogurt and peaches. She is good about trying it but still doesn't seem like she is ready for the texture if food... She would rather play with it 😝

The ups and downs

The life of baseball is full of so many types of ups and downs. There is the actual movement of the player and there are up days and down days. Then there are the ups and downs of your regular life... All of these we have experienced and none of the downs are much fun. Thankfully we can be certain that the downs will pass and they always make the ups so much sweeter ;)

Right now we are currently planning a move. We were blessed with a wonderful couple who let us live in their main house (while they lived in their basement) however; the lady of the house has a small (but extremely important) nasty habit of smoking and its affecting poor Ella. Thus, we decided to move. Tomorrow we start the move to downtown providence.

We are going to be living in a loft style apartment and I'm actually kinda excited about the change. Although it will be much more costly, I'm hoping it will make up for the fact that I won't have to drive anywhere but the field!  Literally, everything is in walking distance!  Ill make sure to post pics soon (and hopefully soon isn't another month from now;)

We recently had our first family pics taken (sense Ella's birth) and just love the photographers!  They did an outstanding job!!  Man, how fast that little girl is growing!

Ella will be 7 months on the 29th, and I'm trying not to cry as I type this!  I literally feel like I just brought her home from the hospital a month ago!  She just loves to play, she loves animals and she loves her time with her daddy!  We are both missing him right now; as he is on a 8 game road trip :(

Our special treat this week was that the Bertettas and Booyes were here on vacation so we got to spend Wednesday with them and Ella and I drove up again tonight to see them one more time before they head home. Ella just loves her auntie Alisha and uncle Jared and just love love loves her BFF van!
